Supplemental Track
The Supplemental Track
is designed for participants interested in continuing the work
they have begun in assessment and/or exploring in more depth topics
related to refining and mapping outcomes, gathering evidence using
multiple measures, and using the evidence to support improvement.
The Supplemental Track provides participants a review of assessment
concepts and principles and additional small group activities
to add to their understanding of these concepts. The Supplemental
Track should be selected by participants if at least 2 of the
following apply to their respective colleges or universities:
- Institution has a clearly articulated and distributed mission
statement for academic advising that clearly defines the purpose
and values of academic advising across the institution and drives
all professional development as well as assessment planning
- Advising Administrators and advising professionals
on campus have a clear understanding of the definition,
purpose, and process of assessment as a means of
enhancing student learning
- Institution has developed a set of goals for academic advising
- Institution has developed clear delivery and student learning
outcomes for academic advising
