Platform Statement:
I have enjoyed my membership in NACADA. I have really enjoyed
the national meetings. I have presented at state, region,
and national conferences. I particularly enjoy region meetings
because of the closeness and common interests. I have attended
region meetings outside my region and noticed the commonality
of business advisor concerns and challenges. I have learned
from all of these experiences and would like to think that I am
a better advisor because of them. If elected, I would want
to strengthen the region and state efforts to bring business advisors
together to solve our challenges. I believe business advisors
have a lot in common in our unique-ness. And there are those
among us that have faced our similar challenges and have figured
out solutions. Some are trying things that we could try
at our schools. There are some who can learn from our experiences
and we from theirs. I would work hard to get rid of "If
I had Only Known" feelings and thoughts. We just need to
talk and share at all levels.
