Platform Statement:
I am interested in the development of advisors as a central piece
to the education process in higher education in the United States.
I strongly believe in "advising being equal teaching," in the
sense that just as "bad" teaching may lead to incomplete scholars,
"bad" advising may lead to incomplete citizens.
I also believe that we should move on from the debate on diversity
being a "good" thing to how we can create a menu of advising programs,
which will enable us to deal with an increasingly diverse population
of students.
