Call for Proposals - submission due date: April 27, 2012
The profession of academic advising changes as rapidly as the students we advise. Now, more than ever, it is essential for advisors to have the opportunity to exchange their ideas, methods, successes and experience in order to fully support the academic progress of our students.
We encourage you to consider contributing to the upcoming conference. We are soliciting professionals to present or coordinate panel discussions. Projected topics may include (but are not limited to):
- Millennials: How they differ from Gen X students, and the impact on their advising needs
- Incorporating technology into advising strategies
- Outreach to students in academic difficulty
- Best practices in peer advising
- Advising distance learners
- Strategies for working with parents or other family members
Proposals will be evaluated on relevance to current issues in advising and appeal to conference participants. We are seeking a wide range of topics relating to academic advising from a variety of advising professionals in our region.
Proposals will be submitted On-Line at http://www.nacada.ksu.edu/apps/index.php/proposals/entry/1
