Advisory Board Chair |
The
Chair of the Advisory Board facilitates the work
of the group by:
- working with the Executive Office
staff on issues that need attention or discussion.
- facilitating Advisory Board discussion
on issues via listserv, email and/or conference calls.
- facilitating Advisory Board meetings
during the Annual Conference.
- working with the Executive Office and
the President on appointment of new members each year.
- providing written reports to the Board
of Directors at least twice annually, as called for (generally
post-Annual Conference and summer update).
Advisory
Board's Charge
The
Webcast Advisory Board's role is to develop and coordinate a process
for submission, recruitment, review, and selection of topics for
webcast programs, to develop the annual webcast series topics and
recommend presenters for webcasts, to review participant evaluations
on a regular basis and make recommendations for changes or improvements
in the process or the delivery, and to oversee or facilitate the
content review for specific webcasts when needed.
GOALS 2009-2010
- Prepare a training unit for local campus facilitators of live webcasts
- Prepare an article on how to use webcasts on local campuses for Academic Advising Today
- Survey NACADA members who do not view webcasts to try to find out why they do not
- Encourage development of "straight to download" products as soon as technology allows
