Denver Here We Come! The 2011 NACADA Annual Conference is just around the corner, and we are looking forward to seeing 2,800 of you next week! With two outstanding keynote speakers, exhibits, the common reading, silent auction, NACADA choir and more this conference is sure to be one of our best!
- Plan your schedule before you come by visiting the Interactive Schedule Planner.
- Presenters: don’t forget to send your handouts to us to post on the website.
- Be sure to check out the great door prizes available at the Exhibit booths.
- The choir is looking for singers! Join the choir for practice on Sunday at 4:00 p.m., this is a fun way to get involved!

- We are proud to announce that the program committee is hosting a free Luggage Depot at the convention center. The secure location will be in Room 503 and will be staffed from 7:30 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, October 5.
- And, if you are using SuperShuttle, why not arrange with them to pick you up at the conference center instead of your hotel? NACADA has secured a discounted SuperShuttle fare. Once you have made your reservation, just call SuperShuttle with your confirmation number and have them change your pick-up location to the Colorado Convention Center. You can do this as late as the day before.
There is a lot going on! Check-in early so you have a chance to start reading through the program! We will see you there!
Support our graduate students - funds raised through the 4th Annual NACADA Silent Auction support graduate student scholarships to NACADA events! This year's auction items include a workshop or keynote presentation by NACADA President Kathy Stockwell, jewelry, several hand-made items, a new advisor gift bag and much more! The auction will open Monday, October 3 at 7:30 a.m. Bids will be accepted until 3 p.m. on Tuesday, October 4.

2012 Leadership Election Information available — including list of positions to be elected, eligibility criteria, position overviews, and online nomination form. Nominations are due Friday, October 28, 2011. Your participation in the nomination process for these leadership positions is encouraged. Nomination information will also be available in the NACADA registration area at the Annual Conference in Denver, as well as printed in the back of the conference program. |

Academic Advising Administrators’ Institute – Feb. 9-11
Learn strategies to enhance your own leadership and to lead an academic advising program on your campus! The Institute will utilize learning community groups facilitated by institute faculty who are experienced advising administrators and leaders in the field to assist in the development of an institute specific Action Plan.
Creating a Campus Culture for Student Persistence: Academic Advising as Teaching & Learning Seminar – Feb. 13-14
This seminar will focus on Advising as a Teaching and Learning process both in theory and in practice and will offer participants the opportunity to engage with colleagues from around the country to learn new strategies for advising and student success.
Assessment of Academic Advising Institute – Feb. 15-17
Explore assessment strategies, learn the process, establish goals, develop outcomes and much more! This working institute will be an intensive two and a half days focused on the components of a successful assessment program as well as specific strategies and tools for developing and implementing assessment programs on your campus.
