Empowering Adult Learners to Persist toward Graduation Seminar
February 11-12, 2013 held  at the Hyatt Regency in Savannah, GA

About the Seminar

As our campuses experience the growth of the adult learner population (including veterans), we need to be mindful and creative about the best ways to advise and support these students in their persistence toward graduation. Regardless of age, students who have adult responsibilities beyond the classroom, are facing challenges in academia that make innovative advisement and support essential.

An informative and interactive seminar that will explore how advisors can empower adult learners not only by identifying population-specific  issues, but by implementing the use of technology and social support groups to ensure academic success.
