Coordinators are strong communicators charged with facilitating a team approach to meeting the expectations of their specific program area. Coordinators make recommendations and provide operational and process guidance for their team members. Coordinators provide information and recommendations on budget, personnel, and programming decisions that are made by the Director for Academic Support and Advising. Coordinators also provide guidance on the development student individual academic support plans, academic intervention, outcomes assessment and transition support. The Coordinator assists the Director in the training, development, and implementation of a holistic academic support model that integrates placement, advising, coaching, and traditional academic support across programmatic boundaries.
The Landmark College Academic Placement/Transition Coordinator is a full-time staff member who serves as part of a team of coordinators reporting to the Director for Academic Support and Advising. The Academic Placement/Transition Coordinator is responsible for placing entering students in the appropriate curriculum and communicating placement information to key stakeholders. The coordinator will work collaboratively with the Academic Support and Advising team to identify support services vital for a smooth academic transition. The coordinator consults with Enrollment Management and Dual Enrollment staff to facilitate potential transition and placement of non-matriculated students. The coordinator works with the Director of Institutional Effectiveness and the Registrar to develop data sets for predictive analytics and outcome assessment. The coordinator will also advise around 10 students.

The qualified candidate will have a strong understanding of learning differences, including the research basis for understanding specific learning disabilities and attention disorders, as well as a comprehensive knowledge of the developmental and instructional challenges of working with students with learning differences. The position requires strong collaboration, problem solving, and communication skills and a strong understanding of psycho-educational and achievement testing submitted for admission, including WAIS IV, Woodcock Johnson, and Nelson Denny, and executive function and behavioral rating scales. The best candidates will possess strong organizational skills, proficiency with data analysis and comfort working with online communication tools. The position requires regular interaction with Faculty, Staff, Students, and Parents. Must have the ability to represent Landmark College professionally in all interactions. The ability to responsibly handle confidential/sensitive information is critical including an understanding of FERPA, ADA law, and other laws/regulations that pertain to working with college students. This is a salaried and exempt position which may require working weekends and after-hours as needed.
Experience working with students as an advisor, coach, or academic support provider at the College level is preferred.
