Position Description
The University of Maine at Fort Kent seeks an experienced, student centered individual to fill the position of Academic and International Advisor. This position assists students in making informed decisions about academic matters including advisement on programs, registration, and related topic areas. The Academic & International Student Success Advisor will identify, assess, advise and support new and continuing students defined at-risk for improving student performance and institutional retention through target interventions. The Academic & International Student Advisor works collaboratively to address the varied and numerous matters for which international students and scholars need support.

The duties of the position include developing, teaching, and assessing the First Year Experience course; monitoring and advising students on their academic progress; and assisting the athletic and admissions departments in student and scholar athlete recruitment.

Additional Information
The work schedule is Monday through Friday 8:00am-4:30 with evening/weekend hours as needed.Salary dependent on experience.
