JOB SUMMARY:
CAAH Student Services Department is looking for an individual to fulfill the following responsibilities:
*As a team member in CAAH Student Services, serves in advising and recruiting capacities.
*Provides academic guidance to prospective, new, and current undergraduate students.
*Develops, implements, manages, and evaluates the College's student recruitment programs in support of the College's goal of enrolling the highest quality undergraduate students and meeting key recruitment targets.
*Performs other duties as assigned.

Duties

JOB DUTIES: 50% - Essential
- Academic Advising:
Serves as professional academic advisor for students in designated majors and populations.
Maintains current mastery of Clemson advising systems, personnel, computer programs, curricula, and regulations. Understands campus resources for students and provides appropriate referrals.
Follows advising best practices as described by NACADA, the advising professional organization.
Works with the Advising Coordinator to provide outreach, advising, and referrals for at-risk populations.
Maintains active and engaged membership in NACADA and participates in campus professional development opportunities.
With all Student Services staff, participates in Orientation as an academic advisor, presenter, and event coordinator.

35% - Essential
- Recruiting:
Works with Student Services Director to develop/implement the yearly strategic plan for recruitment.
Represents CAAH at high school and community college recruiting events, college fairs, and relevant community events.
Facilitates communication between prospective students and their intended program of study.
Prioritizes the recruitment of members of underrepresented minority groups and first-generation students.
Liaison with University Admissions. Collaborates with CAAH communications and marketing staff.
Aids in development and maintenance of promotional materials.
Manages visit program for prospective students and families, including maintenance of the CAAH Visit Us website; collaborating with the Dean's Office on systems for communicating with prospective students and coordinating meetings/tours with department representatives.
Meets with prospective students and families.
Coordinates presentations and workers for on-campus recruiting events, accepted student days, and open houses. Serves as SME on CAAH programs, curriculum offerings, admissions information, and best practices in recruiting. Engages in professional development and maintains active memberships in organizations devoted to higher education recruiting, such as NACAC.

15% - Non-Essential
- Ambassador Program Manager:
Coordinates CAAH Undergraduate Ambassador Program.
Recruits, hires, trains, and supervises Ambassadors.
Ensures Ambassador program has representatives from all college majors and a diverse constituency.
Serves as staff advisor to the group and coordinates the Executive Board.
Develops annual plan for Ambassador engagement in recruiting initiatives. Assists with Ambassador fund raisers, meetings, and events.
Works with Michelin Career Center and other campus offices to plan and implement professional development opportunities for Ambassadors.
Maintains the Ambassadors' Canvas work group.
Schedules Ambassadors to staff College events, campus visits, and outreach.
Assists with Fusion and other CAAH functions involving Ambassadors' participation.
Cultivates Ambassadors' work as recruiters for the College, including letter writing campaigns, phone-a-thons, web presence, and campus visits.
Supervises the Social Media Chair of the Executive Board in maintaining the group's Instagram page: approves content, manages access, and provides continuity and direction.
Works with Dean's Office staff to schedule and host lunches with the Dean each semester and a farewell luncheon for graduating seniors each April and December.

Education - Bachelor's Degree and experience in student services and admissions/recruiting.
