Position Description

Provides leadership for the Arthur O. Eve Higher Education Opportunity Program (HEOP) and coordinates programs designed to admit, support, retain, and graduate eligible students. Plans and implementers HEOP events and support services in accordance with the program proposal.

Duties

• Coordinate and administer the operational activities of the program; design and implement workshops and activities designed to foster the growth and success of HEOP students. Collaborate with faculty and other departments to promote and conduct initiatives to aid in the retention, personal development, campus involvement, and academic success for HEOP students. Qualifications:

Required Qualifications

Master’s degree required, preferably in counseling, higher education, education or related field. Three to five years of experience working in student support services, especially with academically and economically disadvantaged students, is required.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience supporting underrepresented minority students and first-generation students is preferred. Proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
