Position Description

The Kelce College of Business at Pittsburg State University (PSU) seeks to fill a professional staff position called the Coordinator of Academic Support and Enactus Advisor starting fall 2021. The Coordinator provides academic support services to the Kelce Graduate School of Business and the Kelce Academic Advising Center and serves as an advisor for the ENACTUS student organization.


Management of Graduate Enrollment Services – 60% (Essential)
Develop, implement, and maintain marketing and recruiting plans for all Kelce graduate programs (MBA, PMBA, and MPAcc). This includes development and effective distribution of marketing materials across appropriate media to specifically targeted audiences. Coordinate with the offices of Admissions, Career Services, and Alumni and Constituent Services to provide effective representation of the Kelce Graduate School of Business at recruitment fairs, career expos, alumni programs, and special events. In coordination with appropriate university personnel, manage all webpages and social media related to Kelce graduate programs. Respond to inquiries (email, social media, etc.) related to admissions and enrollment issues concerning Kelce graduate programs. Assist the Associate Dean of the KGSB in evaluating new applications of prospective students. Provide initial advising for prospective and newly admitted students to Kelce graduate programs. Coordinate KGSB course offerings and schedules with the Associate Dean of the Kelce Undergraduate School of Business and the BBA Program Coordinators. Provide oversight of graduate assistants and student workers assigned to the KGSB Associate Dean. Serve as co-advisor to the MBA Association. Assist the KGSB Associate Dean with fulfilling AACSB reporting requirements including annual surveys, data collection, and reporting.

Provision of Undergraduate Services – 35% (Essential)
Serve as advisor for the Enactus student organization; recruit students into the organization, assist in planning, implementing, and executing student outreach projects, and mentor the organization’s teams in regional, national, and international competitions and events. Assist the Director of Academic Advising and Career Readiness and college faculty in providing course of study advice to undergraduate students pursuing BBA degrees across all undergraduate majors. Advise and enroll undergraduate students, including transfer students, during early enrollment and open enrollment periods. Assist the Academic Advising Center in maintaining open and effective communication channels with undergraduate students enrolled in the college. Help maintain accurate record-keeping of student advising activities and outcomes. Represent the Kelce College of Business during undergraduate recruitment events and assist in hosting visiting prospective undergraduate students and their families.

Other Duties as Assigned – 5%
Assist members of the Kelce Leadership Team with special projects and events.

Unclassified; Non-Tenure Earning Appointment Duration: 12 months

Work Schedule:
Full Time – Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm. Substitute days as necessary.

Required Qualifications

Required Education and Experience at Hire - MBA or specialized master degree in a business or related discipline Demonstrated successful use of interpersonal skills in a professional setting.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Education and Experience - Instructional support or teaching experience in higher education 1 or more years of leadership experience with collegiate student organizations.
