Direct the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences (CLASS) Student Success Center, which provides support to current and prospective students with academic advising, orientation, admission and referrals to necessary support services. Collaborates with college leadership and faculty in the development and assessment of student services provided for students enrolled in CLASS academic programs. Works with the Dean's Office to provide support for CLASS priorities that may include international and study abroad programming, student engagement and learning communities, recruitment and outreach activities. Directly supervises professional academic advisors assigned to the college. Supervisors are expected to support the Leadership Standards at Central Michigan University and foster a culture that inspires excellence. The Leadership Standards define how we lead and treat others in our teams. As leaders, it is our responsibility to seek input from our teams to continuously improve leadership abilities and demonstration of the standards. Additionally, it is our responsibility to encourage and support the growth and development of those who we lead. Master's degree. Three years' of student academic advising experience in higher education. Demonstrated ability to work with diverse groups including faculty, students and staff. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills. Experience with fostering student engagement. Supervisory experience.
