Position Description
Doane University with campuses in Crete, Lincoln, and Omaha is looking for a collaborative leader to serve as Director of Academic Advising. In this newly created position, primarily located on the Lincoln campus, you will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with the Student Experience division on retention efforts as well as the Student Success Hub, and the Navigator Team.
Duties
This role includes academic advising, serving as the designated school official for international students on the Lincoln campus, supervising staff, supporting faculty advisors, developing and implementing training for faculty and staff, and implementing data-driven advising practices. The position requires a flexible schedule that allows for day and evening and some weekend expectations.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications
-Master's degree required; will consider anticipated 2022 completion date of master's degree.
-Experience in higher education with advising and/or retention
-Supervision of full-time staff
-Development of policies, processes, and training
-Ability to understand and analyze data
-Highly collaborative with demonstrated team-building skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting faculty with advising or experience in an equally collaborative role with faculty.
