Duties
The Honors College at UNC Charlotte seeks a Scholars Advisor to advise students in the University Honors Program (UHP), merit scholars, and undergraduates from across the university seeking nationally and internationally competitive awards and fellowships. The Scholars Advisor will also have teaching responsibilities in the Honors College.Responsibilities include: Providing academic advising for the University Honors Program and merit scholars at UNC Charlotte; collaborating with Executive Director and faculty fellows to shape and support merit scholars programs; disseminating information about nationally and internationally competitive awards and fellowships and advising high-achieving students from across the university as they pursue these opportunities; recruiting and selecting students for honors and merit scholarship programs; teaching three credits of lower division coursework each semester in the Honors College.
