Position Description

The University of Southern California Marshall School of Business seeks a self-motivated, high energy, innovative professional to be the Senior Associate Director of Special Programs. As the university’s largest enrolled undergraduate degree program, our goal is to support program learning objective through the enrollment of the world’s most talents and engaged students. The Marshall School of Business Office of Undergraduate Admissions and Outreach, in partnership with USC’s Enrollment Services Divisions oversees complimentary recruitment and outreach service for the accounting and business administration degree programs. All formal admissions decisions are coordinated and communicated by USC’s Enrollment Services Division. At Marshall, we value access; equity; diversity and inclusion. We elevate the college exploration and admissions process through informed, honest and student-centered communication that helps students find their program fit. We provide recruitment services and information to prospective students and high school / community college counselors. Marshall School of Business yields over twenty-three thousand inquiries and ten thousand applications annually. Our entering class is comprised of freshmen and transfer students. Our team of seven professional admissions and administrative managers coordinate and lead programs held on-campus as well as throughout the US and abroad. In addition, the team aids in the cultivation of the application pool. Our office develops and leads conversion events for admitted students and family members. Marshall School of Business Office of Undergraduate Admissions and Outreach works closely with the senior administration, faculty, campus/student affairs offices, current students and alumni to execute these programs and events.


Core responsibilities for this Senior Associate Director of Marketing and Early Outreach role requires year-round planning, research and data analysis. Promotion of the school and program includes strategic and segmented communication campaigns; social media sites, and interactive media engagement. Responsibilities and Duties Oversight of Special Programs (World Bachelor in Business; Marshall Pathways Program and Global Social Impact) Supervises an Associate Director Training policy development and implementation International outreach and admissions experience and creating recruitment strategies Budget Management Strategic planning for each program and reviewing Marshall School of Business Undergraduate Admissions and Outreach from a holistic perspective. Program assessment and data analysis for special programs Provide outreach and recruitment services to a diverse group of prospective students Seasonal travel, weekend, and after hours are required

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree
Minimum Experience: 3 years
Minimum Field of Expertise: Lead or supervisory recruitment and admissions experience with knowledge of financial aid policies

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in a higher education environment, preferably in the area of business school
Experienced in executing trainings and performance evaluation
Creating and executing recruitment strategy for international admissions
Working knowledge/expertise in managing access programs for historically under-represented students. Strong knowledge and understanding of FERPA; Financial Aid; International Visa, Salesforce and Slate Proficient skills in cross-function communication and conflict resolution
Knowledge of Microsoft Teams and experience interacting and communicating with senior administration and faculty
Directly related program management experience
Ability to train, manage and evaluate the work of others
Strong written and oral communication skills Strong Programming Design
Experience Tracking and managing data.
