Position Description

The TRiO Student Support Services (SSS) Classic Coordinator will join a team of individuals dedicated to student success specifically focused on working with students who are first-generation college students, income-eligible and/or have a disability. This person will work with students in the program individually and in groups to assist them in reaching their graduation and post-graduate goals. The SSS Classic team consists of a Director and two Coordinators.


The TRiO SSS Classic Coordinator will be responsible for SSS programming. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Assists in recruiting, identifying, and selecting eligible students to participate in the program. Provides academic, financial, economic, career and personal advising/coaching to program participants. Supports graduate school enrollment and career exploration through programming, campus and career site visits. Coaches and provides relevant services to program participants. Manages platforms used to provide services to students including,, Financial Literacy 101, etc.

Required Qualifications

Three years of appropriate and relevant professional experience working in a TRIO federal program or similar related program for disadvantaged and at-risk college students. Bachelor's degree required.

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree preferred.
