Position Description
The University of Nevada, Reno is recruiting for a Coordinator of Recruitment for the College of Business. This position is responsible for recruiting prospective, new, and transfer undergraduate business students. The Coordinator oversees all recruiting events for the College, including the Peer Mentor and BizFit Programs. Additionally, the Coordinator supervises student employees and provides leadership, mentorship, and project supervision related to recruitment efforts. The Coordinator will collaborate closely with faculty and staff to develop and implement recruitment strategies that align with the College's goals. They will also manage outreach efforts to engage potential students through various channels, including high school visits, college fairs, and community events. This role is critical in shaping the incoming student body and enhancing the College's visibility and appeal, and it requires a significant amount of travel to fulfill these responsibilities effectively.
Duties
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Conduct planning and execution of summer orientation sessions for incoming and transfer students in the college
- Oversee transfer agreements and college specific incoming courses
- Generate a college report on weekly basis during spring semester to access the list of incoming freshmen that opted for advanced registration
- Plan, implement, coordinate, and assess retention strategies for the college in conjunction with the Assistant Dean and Department Chairs
- Collaboration with the Advising Directors and the assessment committee to research, evaluate, and understand the data to improve academic advising for students
- Provide day-to-day leadership and direction to student workers in the office including managing workflow, establishing professional standards, and providing standards
