POSITION SUMMARY: Reporting to the Assistant Director of Pinellas Access to Higher Education (PATHe), the Transfer Student Services Advisor is responsible for the administration of transfer student services aimed at facilitating seamless transitions between higher education institutions. Through collaboration with Transfer Student Success professionals across OneUSF and St. Petersburg College, the advisor oversees the planning, implementation, and evaluation of curriculum and programs designed to motivate and prepare transfer students for their academic journey. By creating opportunities for increased knowledge of the transfer process, the advisor ensures an efficient student experience with measurable outcomes. Thriving in the college campus setting, this role emphasizes collaboration within a team environment to enhance the transfer student experience and support academic success. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must have strong written and verbal communication skills, Knowledge about post-secondary education and the ability to develop and assess curriculum and programming Must be willing to travel and work nights/weekends, especially during peak periods. Must possess a valid driver's license. Ability to lift and carry up to 25lbs. Duties
Advise prospective and new transfer students individually, in groups and remotely regarding transfer requirements, policies and procedures. Develop curriculum and programing to enhance the transfer experience and educate adult learner about their options for post-secondary education. Create, guide, and track transfer students' milestones of relevant educational and community resources and intervention strategies promoting educational and career goals. Create a communication work-flow and schedule for embedded work at St. Petersburg College to sustain a consistent presence for all prospective transfer students. Maintain current knowledge of higher education and workforce trends to appropriately guide transfer and adult learners toward educational and career goals. Performs other duties as assigned.
