Position Description
Do you enjoy working with innovative young minds helping them to achieve their goals and dreams? Are you able to work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with peers and leadership on solutions and providing students with what they need to succeed? Pratt Institute may have the perfect opportunity for you!
The Department of Academic Advising is seeking an Academic Advisor who is self-directed with the ability to effectively communicate with students and provide them with the necessary resources and skills to make good choices in their academic journey. We are committed to our mission statement of assisting students as they develop meaningful educational plans compatible with their life goals. The Advisor will serve as a point of contact and basic source of information about academic expectations, degree requirements, policies, and procedures on campus. The Advisor will need to collaborate with a variety of offices across campus to build programs that serve evolving student needs and ensure students are able to access necessary resources, to ultimately foster student satisfaction, retention, and success.
