Position Description

Responsible for developing, implementing, and assessing a comprehensive vision of student academic success, persistence, and retention, based on academic transformation, community-building, and growth, that is aligned with the University’s strategic plan.


The AVP serves as the vice provost’s lead administrator for all matters related to student academic success services and manages the following departments: Academic Advising, the Learning Center, Student Athlete Support Services, and First Year Experience.

Required Qualifications

Terminal degree or equivalent from an accredited institution of higher education, with progressive experience working with college students in an administrative capacity and knowledge of technology that supports student success.
