Position Description

Ball State University’s Division of Online and Strategic Learning invites applications for a Student Success Specialist.

Duties

This position provides direct student services, to include but not limited to, recruiting, advising, and administrative support for the delivery of online and blended programs.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications

Master’s degree from an accredited college or university. One year of relevant experience (for example: teaching, counseling, advising, recruitment, admissions, online/distance program support/administration). Excellent oral and written communication skills; high degree of commitment to customer service; strong focus on detail and task completion; highly organized with good analytical skills; competency in the use of word processing, spreadsheets, database, email and internet applications. Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

Direct experience assisting college-level students; additional years of related experience. Project-based workgroup and/or management experience. Proficient use of a CRM (Customer Relationship Management) or enterprise database, preferably a Student Information System.
