Position Description

The Office for Student Success is seeking an Internship Program Coordinator who will provide coaching and advising to students across the university regarding career exploration and development of professional skills for second-year high-impact experiences. This position will serve as a resource to employers interested in hiring students and conduct employer outreach to increase the number of opportunities available. We need an individual who is creative, able to develop materials needed to support program offerings, and enjoys leading initiatives. The ideal candidate has a positive attitude and values collaboration. Qualifications:

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience; Two years related experience such as academic advising, or college/university student recruiting; Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; Knowledge of assessment/institutional applications (Qualtrics, Navigate, Howdy); Ability to relate well to a diverse student population; Knowledge of assessment of student programs and student learning outcomes; Evening and weekend work may be required; and Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree in Student Affairs, Higher Education, or related field; More than two years of related experience in academic advising or college/university student recruiting; Experience planning and implementing programs; Experience working with various working with historically marginalized and minoritized student groups; Ability to understand and speak Spanish; Interpersonal skills; Ability to present information clearly and concisely; Excellent written and verbal communication skills; and Ability to plan and organize efficiently.
