Job Description
Nevada State College (NSC) School of Nursing (SON) invites applications for the position of Post-Licensure Coordinator. The Post-Licensure Coordinator will serve as the point person for the RN-BSN program within the SON. This position will support students from the time of admission to the completion of degree requirements. This position will require knowledge of the admissions and enrollment process, credit articulation, degree requirements and academic advising needs, and academic support services. This position will also serve as a liaison between Nevada State College, Academic Partnerships, and Instructional Connections. Salary & Benefits
Budgeted salary range for this position is $40,000 - $42,000. Nevada State College offers excellent benefits, including 15.50% retirement match, 24 annual leave days, beginning balance of 30 sick leave days, 11 paid holidays, educational benefits, and the choice of three health insurance plans that can be supplemented with flexible spending accounts or health savings accounts.

Core Responsibilities:
• Serve as point person for all student inquiries about the RN-BSN program.
• Serve as liaison between Nevada State College, Academic Partnerships, and Instructional Connections.
• Serve as student advocate, both to assist students in resolving concerns, as well as working with internal units to lessen barriers that may disproportionately affect distance learners.
• Work with Financial Aid and Bursar's office to craft messaging specific to the RN-BSN program.
• Support recruiting efforts of Academic Partnership by receiving regular reports from field representatives, answering any questions and/or concerns, and communicating field reports with college leadership.
• Participate in periodic off-site recruitment events.
• Keep an updated online orientation for new students.
• Provide academic advising for RN-BSN students:
• Provide detailed information about courses, expectations, timelines, etc.
• Develop program completion plan with student.
• Provide students with information regarding academic and school policies (e.g., add/drop dates, payment due dates, etc.).
• Conduct and track end-of-term check-ins with students to guide through the re-enrollment process and answer questions as needed.
• Share strategies for success in online RN to BSN courses.
• Provide students with information about available academic support resources (Smarthinking, Writing Center online services, etc.).
• In conjunction with course faculty, proactively intervene with students who are “at risk” and support student persistence.
• Work in collaboration with the Registrar's office to conduct unofficial transcript evaluations as part of the enrollment process.
• Actively engage in professional development opportunities, particularly in the areas of adult student advising and distance advising.
• Assist in RN to BSN state authorization processes.
• Participate in School of Nursing department and committee meetings to contribute to the operation of the department.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution.
• Two (2) years of direct relevant experience in higher education (e.g., academic advising, success coaching, student affairs). Relevant experience as a graduate assistant is welcomed.
• Demonstrated commitment to a diverse, non-traditional, first-generation student population.
• Ability to work independently and contribute to a team while effectively managing multiple priorities and deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Student Affairs, Higher Education Administration, or relevant field from a regionally accredited institution.
