NACADA's Global Awards are designed to honor individuals and institutions making significant contributions to the improvement of academic advising within higher education. 

The program goals are to:

  • Recognize outstanding advising throughout higher education
  • Offer a global advising rewards system 
  • Encourage wider support of advising personnel and programs
  • Ultimately improve advising services for students

Volunteer as a Reader!

Readers help evaluate award and scholarship nominations/applications, providing feedback for the Global Awards Committee. Evaluations and feedback help determine the recipients of 2025's Global Awards. 

  • No prior experience or expertise is necessary. Readers will receive instructional materials for the review process.  

  • Readers will evaluate submissions via an online review system.

  • Review will take place within the month of June. 

  • On average, it takes about 15-30 minutes to read and score one submission packet. The total amount of packets assigned per reader will depend on the number of submissions received and the number of volunteer readers, but the typical average is 4-8 packets.

Please complete this form no later than May 1. Those selected as readers will be notified via email after May 22.

Awards Presentation

  • The Global Awards are presented at an invitation-only ceremony at the NACADA Annual Conference held each fall in varying locations. 
  • The selection committee reserves the right to make no awards in a certain category.
