NACADA Registration Policies
Payment Methods
Payment can be made by check, money order, credit card, purchase order, or international wire transfer.
- Check/Money Order: A check or money order must accompany the event registration.
- Credit Card: Credit card information must be provided before the registration will be processed. Credit card information will not be accepted via email. You must mail, fax, or phone in your credit card number.
- MasterCard, Visa, Discover, or American Express are accepted.
- Purchase Orders: A paper copy of the purchase order (with PO # and billing address) must accompany your event registration.
- International Wire Transfer: International attendees who cannot use a credit card, check, or international money order may pay NACADA by international bank wire transfer. Please note, NACADA assesses a $15 handling fee for each international wire transfer.
A service/processing fee of US $35 per registration will be assessed for returned checks, or changes in payment method or credit card after initial payment is processed.
NACADA's Federal Employer ID number (FEIN) is 48-1114759.
Presenter Registration
All individuals attending the event, including volunteer presenters, must register and pay the event fee before receiving event materials or participating in the event.
Non-Member Registrations
Non-member registrants acknowledge no reimbursement for lost discount(s) will be made, even if membership status changes.
Student/Retiree Fees
Student/Retiree Fees are available to full-time students and retired NACADA members only. Individuals employed full-time and taking college courses are ineligible.
Registration Transfers
Paid registrations may be transferred to another individual at your institution if you notify NACADA in writing in advance. The individual to whom the registration is being transferred to must be or must become a current NACADA member before a member fee transfer can take place, those wishing to not become a member will be responsible for payment of difference between the member/non-member fee before the event transfer can take place. Membership dues are non-transferable between individuals. Credit cannot be applied toward future events.
Event Registration Cancellations
Please refer to the event’s website and/or printed registration form for event-specific details relating to cancellations and refunds. Cancellations must be in writing and can be emailed to [email protected], unless otherwise noted.
Video and Photo Release
NACADA and its legal representatives retain the right and permission to publish, without further charge, photographs and videos taken during this event. These photographs and video may be used in publications, including electronic publication, or in audio-visual presentations, promotional literature, advertising, or similar ways. By participating in this event, I voluntarily consent to be recorded and/or photographed by NACADA: The Global Community for Academic Advising.
Photos
Registration in this meeting authorizes NACADA to include you in event photos to be shared with the group or in future promotional materials. If you wish to opt out of these photos, please e-mail your request to [email protected].
Financial Security
For your financial safety, we cannot accept registrations with a credit card number via e-mail. Please mail/fax your registration with payment included. If submitted via email, send without credit card number and call 785-532-5717 with your payment.
Cancellations
No refunds shall be made to individuals who attend a portion of the conference. No refunds shall be made for cancellations due to inclement weather. No refunds shall be made to individuals whose flights or other means of transportation to the event has been cancelled or delayed. In the event that NACADA must cancel the conference in its entirety due to circumstances beyond the control of NACADA or venues hosting the event, NACADA may refund the appropriate registration fees to conference registrants. Cancellation of the event in its entirety would only occur for reasons including but not limited to, forces of nature and natural disasters, war, government regulations, sequestration, travel advisories, outbreaks of disease, acts of terrorism or threat of terrorism, disaster, strikes, civil disorder, curtailment of transportation facilities, or other emergencies that make it inadvisable by local, state or federal government officials, illegal or impossible to provide the facilities or to hold the event. Refund requests after the event due to a no-show will be denied.
Under no circumstances will refunds be made for travel expenses related to the conference. Attendees who purchase non-refundable airline tickets do so at their own risk.
Please check with hotels and transportation directly regarding their cancellation policy. Requests to cancel must be made directly with the hotel or transportation company.
Participating in NACADA Health and Wellness Activities
By participating in NACADA health and wellness activities, you are agreeing to the terms and conditions of NACADA’s release of liability form for participants in voluntary recreational and fitness activities.
Time Zones
Registration fees listed will update at 11:59 a.m. central time on the date listed.
Email Request
Please have and maintain a current email on your NACADA record to ensure you receive event confirmations and event communications. Additional correspondence, such as NACADA Academic Advising Today, NACADA Highlights, NACADA Next Week and notifications of important events in your region, are also sent via email.
Mobile Assistance Needed
For those in need of mobile assistance during the event, wheelchair or scooter rental reservations need to be made by the participant themselves and should be made in advance. Participants are responsible for making arrangements directly and any costs associated with the rental. Contact the meeting planner for information on where you can secure a rental if needed.

Conference Code of Conduct
All attendees, speakers, sponsors and volunteers at our conference are required to agree with the following code of conduct. Organizers will enforce this code throughout the event. We expect cooperation from all participants to help ensure a safe environment for everybody.
Code of Conduct
Our conference is dedicated to providing a harassment-free conference experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion (or lack thereof), or technology choices. We do not tolerate harassment of conference participants in any form. Sexual language and imagery is not appropriate for any conference venue, including talks, workshops, parties, and social or digital media. Conference participants violating these rules may be sanctioned or expelled from the conference without a refund at the discretion of the conference organizers.
Assumption of Risk and Hold Harmless
All NACADA events and activities are purely voluntary activities, and attendees are fully responsible for their own conduct and well-being. In participating in any event or activity, attendees shall be deemed to understand and accept all risk of possible injury that might occur as a result of such participation. Attendees agree to release and hold harmless NACADA and its employees, officers, representatives, and agents from any and all alleged and/or actual liability, claims, actions, lawsuits, damages, or losses of any kind which arise out of or result from attendance at and participation in NACADA event(s). Attendee agrees to release and hold harmless NACADA and its employees, officers, representatives, and agents from any and all claims, demands, and causes of action arising out of or relating to your participation in the event you are registering to participate in and use of any associated facilities or hotels.
