Welcome to the Advising Communities Division

Advising Communities provides members an opportunity to join others with similar academic or specific student population interests or institutional types in advising.  All current members can join up to 4 Advising Communities.  All Communities are involved in:

  • Advancing NACADA’s strategic goals
  • Proposing and facilitating professional development activities around Community topics to engage members
  • Providing resources to advance the professional development of members while focusing on the specific area of the Community

The ACD helps advisors help students!

Potential Advising Communities

Potential Advising Communities (PAC's) are possible future groups that could be added as permanent communities after a period of information and member support seeking has transpired. PAC's are allotted a business meeting at the Annual Conference in Louisville, KY in order to further their agendas and to seek more member involvement. Interested members should plan to attend if you would like to see these communities become a permanent part of the Division.
