The Director, Student Program Office is responsible for assisting in the effective delivery of an exceptional experience for approximately 600 full-time graduate students across multiple degree programs: MBA, EMBA, MS Finance (MSF), Master of Accounting (MAcc), Master of Marketing (MMark), Executive MBA (EMBA), Master of Management Health Care (MMHC). This position has oversight for 3 main areas: Academic Programs; Academic Advising; Student Life.
•Work in collaboration with faculty and university academic committees to provide strategic direction to maintain and execute the academic policies and infrastructure that support the school’s teaching mission
•Develop a schedule of courses for each module and manage revisions as needed to accommodate emerging issues
•Coordinate scheduling of classes for the undergraduate Business Minor (UGBM) taught by Owen and liaise with the UGBM program director
•Facilitate the yearly update and publication of the Student Handbook and Course Catalogue
•Communicate regularly with students regarding curriculum planning, degree progress, and academic difficulties
•Counsel and advise students regarding course work and program requirements
•Serves as the general liaison with other university offices (e.g., University Registrar, ISSS, and Student Access Services)
•Participate in a leadership role in program initiatives including orientation, graduation, academic registration and academic planning
•Serve as the administrative representative for the Honor Council, assisting with onboarding new members and preparing the annual Honor Council Report for the Office of Academic Integrity and Accountability
•Provide oversight and leadership of all student activities outside of the academic experience including Orientation, Student Professional Clubs and Affinity Clubs, International Summer Business Program (ISBP), Exchange Students, International Travel, and overall Student Wellness
•Manage a team member who advises all student organizations and student leaders (25+), coordinating new student organizations’ development, policies, and approval processes
•Serves as key liaison for students in crisis or in need of counseling to appropriate University services, including advisor for all disability support services and liaison between students and faculty on matters of disability support
•Oversee operating budget, student travel budget, ISBP budget, and other student requests for funding
