Position Description

Sr. Recruitment Manager for undecided students


The Sr. Recruitment Manager in Exploratory Studies works independently to oversee the participation and execution of all recruitment efforts for the department. This includes managing 40-50 student ambassadors and coordinating the development and implementation of comprehensive recruitment and outreach programs on Purdue’s West Lafayette campus.
• Assist the Executive Director and Associate Director in the development, coordination, presentation, and implementation of comprehensive recruitment and outreach programs.
• Develop and maintain all marketing and communication strategies, including print, electronic, and social media outlets.
• Meet with and provide admissions counseling to prospective students and their families/guests via phone, email, in-person and virtually.
• Engage EXPL team members in the recruitment process
• Support institutional enrollment goals
• Assist with data analysis of enrollment yields and recruiting

• Expectation to work some evenings and weekend recruitment events

Required Qualifications

• Master’s degree and two years’ experience (with consideration given to a Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years’ professional experience). Prefer degree in Communications, Marketing or Student Affairs
• Experience in student recruitment, selling and sales, public relations, marketing, or closely related area

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience at the university level
• Knowledge of Purdue programs and majors
• Sound grasp and understanding of Purdue’s recruitment and orientation process
• Knowledge of Purdue academic policies and procedures
• Experience utilizing a Constituent Relationship Management tool (i.e. Slate)
