Duties
Responsible for providing personalized holistic student support and coaching. The Student Success Coach provides learning opportunities as well as creates conditions that leads to the achievement of students’ academic and career goals. The Student Success Coach will also monitor student persistence and progression towards graduation utilizing appropriate advising technology. Ensures compliance with degree program requirements and college policy as well as with federal, and state regulations.

Valencia College transitioned from an academic advising model to a Student Success Coaching model in the fall of 2024. Specific roles such as academic advisors, student success coaches, and program advisors were renamed Student Success Coaches. Along with this new title, the Student Success Coaches earn a coaching certification, which will equip them with advanced student support and guidance skills.
