There are two airports close to Caesars Windsor: Windsor International Airport (YQG) and Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport (DTW).
Windsor International Airport (YQG) | 20-minute taxi ride to the property.
If you are flying into this airport from a U.S. destination, you will require a passport.
Taxis from Windsor International Airport (YQG)
Taxis are usually awaiting arrivals, and if not, there are taxi phones available.
Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport (DTW) | 25-minute car ride to the property.
Getting from Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport (DTW) to Caesars Windsor:
Option 1: Metro Cars (not taxi)
Crosses the U.S./Canadian border for $100 USD or more. Follow signs for “Ground Transportation,” and speak to the Metro Cars rep at kiosk. Or reserve ahead to have them pick you up at baggage claim, holding a sign with your name!
Option 2: Tunnel Bus (operated by Transit Windsor)
Take an Uber, Lyft, or taxi to the Detroit Tunnel Platform (Mariner's Church). The tunnel bus departs on an hourly schedule. The bus will take you across the border and will drop you right at Caesars Windsor. You will need exact change or a ticket to board ($7.50 US).
Option 3: Windsor Metro Airport Car
Windsor Metro Airport Car can provide transportation from Detroit Metro Wayne County Airport and drop you directly at Caesars Windsor. Pick-up and drop-off at the DTW is $125 CAD, each way. There is an extra charge of $15.00 CAD to have the driver park at the DTW and meet you inside with your name on a sign. There is 5% CAD tax charge added. The charges for this service are in Canadian funds. If you plan on traveling with others, each car can hold up to 6 people, and the entire car will only be charged one fee.
Option 4: Rent a car and drive across the boarder.
Driving Directions from Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport (DTW):
Total distance is about 21 miles and the approximate travel time is 25 minutes:
1. Start out going northeast on William G. Rogell Dr. toward E. Service Rd.
2. Stay straight to go onto Merriman Rd.
3. Merge onto I-94 E toward Detroit.
4. Merge onto I-96 E / Jeffries Fwy. via exit 213B toward Canada.
5. Take the I-75 N / M-10 exit on the left toward Flint / Civic Ctr.
6. Take the M-10 / Lodge Fwy. exit toward Rosa Parks Blvd. / Civic Ctr.
7. Take the exit on the left toward M-10 / Lodge Fwy. / Civic Ctr.
8. Take the M-10 S exit toward Civic Ctr.
9. Merge onto John C. Lodge Fwy. / MI-10 S.
10. John C Lodge Fwy. / MI-10 S. becomes Jefferson Ave W. 11. Turn right into Detroit-Windsor tunnel plaza. Once in Windsor follow the signs to Caesars Windsor.
Airport Shuttle:
At this time, Transit Windsor is not offering International service from Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport.

Directions from Cleveland
Travel westbound on I-90 to I-280.
Go northwest on I-280 to I-75N.
Take I-75N into Michigan.
Follow signs to the Ambassador Bridge or Detroit-Windsor Tunnel.
Once in Windsor, follow the signs to Caesars Windsor.
Directions from Toledo
Take I-75N into Michigan.
Follow signs to the Ambassador Bridge or Detroit-Windsor Tunnel.
Once in Windsor, follow the sign to Caesars Windsor.
Directions from Toronto
From Hwy. 401, take exit 14/Essex Road 46 and follow signs to Caesars Windsor.

Passport Information

Since June 1, 2009, all travelers crossing the U.S.-Canada border must present one of the following approved documents:
- Passport Book
- Passport Card
- Nexus Card
- Enhanced Michigan’s Driver’s License
It can take up to six weeks to apply and receive these documents.
