I want to welcome you to the first virtual annual NACADA global conference 2021, "Advising Odyssey: Empowering Students to Reach their Ithaca."

Even though we cannot experience Athens in person due to the pandemic, our hope is that this virtual conference will convey the spirit, culture, and history of Greece through simulated tours, exciting presentations, local insights, cultural and culinary events.

The comprehensive program we have put together will give opportunities for engagement, growth, networking, and the sharing of knowledge and practice, to become better practitioners.

It was a challenging year for everyone; we had to change our practices, adjust to new realities and find innovative communication methods. The NACADA global conference will be a place to share those experiences that promote student success, and together, we will explore new paths in the Advising Odyssey, as it is our goal to Empower Students to Reach their Ithaca.

Additionally, I would like to thank the American College of Greece for being our virtual "host," the planning committee, and a special thank you to Vivi Consta, co-chair.

I am looking orward to seeing you all soon and experiencing Greece together!
