Academic Advising Research Listserv

N-RESEARCH-L is a private list for those interested in research in the field of academic advising. The list provides a forum for discussions and announcements concerning academic advising research.

Are you researching an advising topic for your institution, thesis or dissertation?  The NACADA Research listserv connects colleagues researching a variety of topics related to the advising field. Those researchers working on dissertations should also consider joining the Doctoral Student Interest Group .

How To Subscribe

To join the N-RESEARCH-L e-mail list, simply follow these directions:

  1. From the e-mail account under which you wish to be subscribed, send an e-mail message to: LISTSERV@LISTSERV.KSU.EDU
  2. Type as the SOLE contents of the body of the message:
    • SUB N-RESEARCH-L Your first and last name
    • EX: SUB N-RESEARCH-L Thomas Thompson
  3. Delete any automatic signatures and send the message.
  4. send message in plain text, removing any special fonts or formatting (i.e. bold, hyperlinks, etc...)
  5. You will receive an automatic confirmation of your subscription and instructions on the use of the e-mail list.

How To Post a Message

Send an email to the following address: N-RESEARCH-L@LISTSERV.KSU.EDU (you must be a member of the list).

Note: KSU listserv lists are no longer accepting file attachments. You now have a couple of options:

  1. Cut and paste the information from the attachment into the actual e-mail.
  2. Send the e-mail with attachments to everyone by typing in their individual e-mail addresses rather than to the list.
How To Unsubscribe

To leave the N-RESEARCH-L e-mail list, simply follow these directions:

  1. From the e-mail account under which you subscribed, send an e-mail message to: LISTSERV@LISTSERV.KSU.EDU
  2. Type as the SOLE contents of the body of the message:
    • SIGNOFF N-RESEARCH-L
    • EX: SIGNOFF N-RESEARCH-L
  3. Delete any automatic signatures and send the message.
  4. You will receive an automatic confirmation of your unsubscription.
