Duties
Oversight & Success: Maintain and assess organizational structure to align with institutional goals. Supervise three assistant directors and oversee a team of professional and peer advisors. Lead recruitment, training, supervision, and staff evaluations using performance metrics. Promote professional development to drive continuous improvement and address service gaps.
Strategic Initiatives: Lead strategic planning and direction for First-Year Advising to support student success. Develop and implement protocols that promote proactive, data-driven interventions and holistic student development. Analyze advisement data to assess unit and advisor effectiveness and outcomes.
Collaboration & Partnerships: Collaborate with faculty, staff, and administrators to enhance retention strategies and integrate proactive student support services. Serve as a first-year and advising expert on institutional committees and represent the department to internal and external stakeholders.
Administration: Administer an operating budget consistent within university policy, and advocate for advising resources. Perform other duties in support of initiatives under the Associate Provost of Student Success and the Associate Vice President of Enrollment Management.
