Position Description

The Coordinator provides student academic support programs and services designed to facilitate successful student persistence through degree completion. Reporting to the Director of Advising and Retention, the Coordinator contributes significantly to creating and sustaining a supportive educational environment for students enrolled in Oregon Tech classes. Working independently and under limited supervision, this position is responsible for the overall development, operation, and assessment of Peer Tutoring & Supplemental Instruction for the Klamath Falls and Portland Metro campuses. This position will collaborate with advising staff and faculty to provide a supportive team environment.

Working independently and under limited supervision, this position is responsible for the overall development, operation, and assessment of Peer Tutoring & Supplemental Instruction for the Klamath Falls and Portland Metro campuses.

> Bachelor’s degree > Experience with tutoring/supplemental instruction programs and experience supervising student employees > Knowledge of trends, issues, and accepted practices relevant to the position > Experience with variety of software such as Excel, Canvas, Inspire, Banner and online tutoring software > Must have strong analytical and problem solving skills, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and written. > Ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals and constituencies in a diverse community

Preferred Qualifications

> Master’s degree > Three years of supervisory experience > Experience with managing a supplemental instruction or tutoring center
