Position Description
Iowa State University, a large, public, land-grant university in Ames, Iowa, invites inquiries, nominations, and applications for its next Director of International Students and Scholars. This is an in-person leadership role. Iowa State University is a student-centric institution serving over 30,000 students. Ames was voted the number one “Best College Town in America” by 247WallSt.com in June 2023. The salary range is $100,000 to $105,000 annually, commensurate with education and experience.
Duties
The director leads a dynamic team providing comprehensive services to Iowa State University’s international students and scholars. The director provides strategic leadership and direction for immigration-related policies and operations-related functions to support Iowa State University’s internationalization efforts. The director directly supervises five professional staff, indirectly oversees nine additional staff and four graduate students, and manages an annual budget exceeding $1.4 million.
